Here is a more in-depth view on the clans. This thread carries important information on each clans' attitudes, naming techniques, etc.

(( Dustclan

general attitudes ))

The cats in Dustclan are very level-headed. They tend to take things in stride, never really getting too provoked about small things. Because of the barren nature of their territory, the cats of Dustclan don't take things for granted. They learn early on that clan life is a gift, and that if not everyone helps keep things in order, there are consequences.

naming techniques ))

The cats of Dustclan tend to determine their cats' suffixes after personality qualities versus appearances. They pay close attention to detail and their names reflect that. Each cat is carefully named to portray who they are.

general colors ))

Dustclan's territory covers a wide expanse of dry, dusty ground. This means that the cats in this clan rely mostly on stealth and blending in in order to catch their prey. Most Dustclan cats are on the brown/red side of colors, because it blends in with the barren land in which they live.

Due to the lack of shrubbery for animals to hide in, Dustclan tends to have a harder time locating prey. Though mammals like rabbits and mice tend to shy away from Dustclan territory, it is a breeding ground for lizards and other reptiles. Dustclan also relies on the stream that runs along their border for occasional mice and rabbits.

(( Pondclan

general attitudes ))

Being the only clan that can swim and fish has caused the cats of Pondclan to become a bit conceited. They tend to think that they're better- even if only ever so slightly- than the other clans because their fur has built up resistance to water and is shiny. That being said, Pondclan is probably the most generous clan. They have been known to aid the other clans without expecting much in return in the past.

Pondclan is very proud of their affiliation with water, so most of their names reflect that. They tend to name cats based on their looks over what their personality is like.

general colors ))

Because they spend so much time in the water, Pondclan cats tend to be more on the silver/black side of colors. Not all of them are silver or black; some are brown, white, or even a light cream color. Most of the cats in this clan are light because it helps them stay camouflaged when trying to catch fish.

prey ))

The cats of Pondclan consistently have fish on their fresh-kill pile. Fish make up most of their diet during the warmer months, but in the winter when the ponds freeze, they catch mice and birds to supplement the fish.

(( Brackenclan

general attitudes ))

Brackenclan cats tend to be very aloof. They are quiet, speculative, and usually lean towards the creepy side. Most of the cats in Brackenclan don't have many- if any at all- friends in other clans, save for some of the younger ones. Though these cats seem cold to the other clans, they are really caring, and they take friendship and loyalty very seriously.

Out of the three clans, Brackenclan's names have the least consistency. Though more of their names are for personality traits than appearances, ones that describe looks aren't uncommon. These cats value actual relationships, and the relationship of a cat and his or her leader can be determined by how carefully thought-out their name is.

The cats of Brackenclan have the most diverse colors. Though mostly contained to browns and silvers, it is not uncommon to see yellow, orange, and black cats among the ranks of the clan.

The long grasses that take up part of this clan's territory are home to many different kinds of mice, birds, and even the occasional snake. These cats also have the luxury of having the river cut through their territory, which attracts more prey. The areas near the border with Dustclan yield some small lizards, but the cats of Brackenclan would rather have mice or birds.

(( Raashi Empire

The cats in the Raashi Empire tend to be harsh, rude, and selfish. However, because most cats that aren't in the clans are considered part of the Raashi, the behavior of the empire as a whole varies. Most of the subjects tend to be submissive and quiet, while the guard are loud, obnoxious and opinionated.

naming techniques ))

Because there are no humans around on this site, nothing relating to humans will be allowed in the naming of these cats. Raashi members can be named anything- as long as the mother would know what it is. Most mothers in the guard name their kits for what they hope they will become, while the royal family and subjects name them after natural things or just make up names.

Cats in the Raashi Empire can be any natural cat color.

prey ))

Because the Raashi Empire's territory covers a wide expanse of land with different terrains, prey can range from fish out of the river to lizards in the dusty places. Some members of the Raashi will eat anything they can find while others will only eat certain things.
